Canned on 8/28/23; consumed on 124/23
Pours a clear, vibrant honey-gold body capped with a finger and a half of fluffy, off-white foam; mediocre head retention leaves a limited few islands of paper-thin cap, an equally slim yet somewhat frothy collar, and minimal spots of lacing holding to the walls of the glass.
Aromas offer a rich dollop of wildflower honey and a white toast upfront, with fresh dough pronouncing through a touch of minerality as tinges of fruity yeast aspects linger in the background.
Taste brings brown toast and waves of florality into taut lager yeast sporting hints of peppercorn, leaving musty honey vaguely settling in the backdrop against stale bread crusts and a nutty tinge over the profile.
Mouthfeel shows a medium-light body and mild spritz of prickly carbonation, levying dry textures over the mid-palate to a slight snap on the back end along with a taut, clean finish.
Honeyed sweetness resounds through doughy subtext in a cleanly presented procession of pale malts and peaking with a satisfying, barebones breadiness; a solid overall effort.
