A: Pours a cloudy yellow color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: There is a touch of sulfur in the nose, which slightly detracts for me. Though the hefe aromas come in on the back end with plenty of bubblegum, clove and spice.
T: Maybe just a touch of that sulfur character up front, but that fades quickly. Doughy malts, bubblegum, banana , tart lemon and spice linger on which is very nice. I tend to pick up sulfury flavors from other Hefes, including German ones. So that will probably not be an issue for most people.
M/O: A light body, high carbonation. Super crisp and effervescent. Really easy and enjoyable to drink, I had several at the brewery. Will be a good go to there.
This is a nice Hefe, if not the best I've had. Fairly by the books, and I get just a touch of sulfur (that others probably won't get). Still an enjoyable session offering that I can see being a brewery staple.
