A: Pours a dark brown, nearly black color. A two finger beige head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: A simple, but nice and clean aroma with light roast and toasted malts. Maybe a touch of coffee in there. A light grainy character.
T: Like the nose, just simple but enjoyable. With the light roast and toasted malts melding very nicely. A touch of coffee, maybe some toffee flavors without adding any real sweetness.
M/O: A light body and good carbonation. Crisp at first, but smooths out as this breaths. Finishes dry. Really easy to drink and very moreish. Love that they went low ABV with this one.
My favorite so far from the brewery. I really enjoyed seeing a more subtle and low ABV stout for a change. Breweries can tend to go over the top whenever making this style, even when they are not trying to make an "imperial" version. This is just nice to drink and come back to, which is all I really care about. Some will complain that it is too light, but whatever. Kind of a cross between a Porter, Stout, and Dark Mild.
