This is definitely more of what I would call a "Scottish Ale" at least on this site. Though I have problems with that term, this is certainly not a Wee Heavy.
A: Pours a ruby brown color. A one finger white head forms that sticks around for a bit with light lace left behind.
S: Malty and grainy aroma. Toasted malts, baked bread, light cereal. Simple and enjoyable.
T: Like the nose, malty with a touch of cereal grains. Toasted/baked bread. More sweetness is noticeable. Just a touch of herbal like hops to balance. I like it.
M/O: A medium body, with crisp carbonation at first. This becomes smoother as it breaths. Though, still seems a bit "lighter" than I was expecting. No worries, still really enjoyable to drink and fits the malty sweet spot for me.
Think of this as a Scottish/Brown Ale hybrid. In that regard this is very enjoyable. It reminds me of Odell's 90 Shilling which is a good thing.
