Canned on 1/31/22; consumed on 2/14/22
Pours a turbid, glossy dark gold body capped with two fingers of rich, fluffy, white foam; great head retention leaves a thin layer of creamy cap, a moderate, frothy collar, and a generous spatter of spotty/webby lacing distributed along the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with brief sparks of lime zest before a boggy, dank overlay washes over the bouquet; tinges of white grape shine through to sweaty apricot, with soft, bready malts underscoring sweeter mango and musty passionfruit into the back end.
Taste finds a boggy dank predominance persistent upfront, imparting waxy honey and white grape must detail into an earthier, grassy mid-palate sporting underlying semi-sweet, bready malts; orange/lime peel invigorate the back end as a progressively sweet mango builds to lightly spiced clementine compote on the finish.
Mouthfeel offers a medium body with moderate carbonation dispersing an effortless fluff and rounded, creamy textures into the mid-palate, where an underlying prickle melds to the refined hop acidity and peaking with a juicy twang into the finish.
Effortlessly plush and carrying the weight of an immensely saturated hop profile with ease, the expression here is universally refined, engaging tropical sweetness and earthier undertones washes over with pure, weedy resins; a hop combo peaking, layered in nuanced excesses.
