Sweet Simcoe tropical hoppy, slightly malty, and an orange-grapefruit citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a soft and creamy, hoppy and a subtle orange citrus bitter finish. Not my favorite hop, but this is a fantastic use of Simcoe here! Delicious!

From a 16oz can, dated 12/15/22 - I think. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours a milky-pale grapefruit juice colour with two-plus fingers of soft, lather-like foam. Retention is excellent, leaving wads of gobby lacing. A heavy, beaten egg whites cap and collar lasts all the way to the bottom of the glass.
Nose is soft and fruity. Dreamy aroma of bread and citrus and a whiff of something peachy-sweet.
Taste is drier and chalkier than the aroma suggested. Tasting white grapefruit juice, lime and baking soda biscuit. Chalky dryness, earthy, pithy grittiness and a gentle, citrusy bitterness.
Feel is dry and gritty, medium bodied but with ultra-fine prickly carbonation buoying it up and making it feel way lighter.
Overall, this has got to be about as good as NEDIPA gets. It’s chalky-juicy with no sharp edges or off-notes. There is no sense of the stated 8.4% abv, on either the palate, in the sinuses, or in the gullet. I don’t like to be throwing around big numbers but I don’t know what else I could have asked for here.

Many thanks to tolar111 for this can!
A - Opaque medium creamy orange color with very dense foam resting on top which also sticks to the sides of the glass like cotton candy glue.
S - Dank citrus, peach, passion fruit, and some spicy citrus rind.
T - Dank citrus, passion fruit, peach, sweet grapefruit, peppery / spicy citrus rind, and ends slightly on the sweeter side with a complimentary underlying citrus bitterness.
M - Thick, chewy, pillowy soft, and slightly frothy around the edges.
O - This is a really fantastic D-IPA and worth checking out.

CAN
Milky dark orange with lacey, solid off white cream; fresh cut oranges with hints of grass, flowers, mango + a thread of dirty green dank; fresh squeezed OJ, slices of mango, ruby red grapefruit juice, bits of herb, dank, and mint, peachy end; salty, silky, medium.

Jan 13 release - 3 wks in the can at tasting.
Magic pixie dream girl.
The nose starts bright + juicy but then gets greener - both herbal + ganga - as it opens.
The taste goes for fresh-squeezed, biting-into-fruit lusciousness, with the dank + earthy notes down in the mix, but they’re there to keep things honest. There’s a sudden blast of fresh apricot skin esters on some sips, the body is satin - tough to find any fault here.
Dunno how it’d do any older than a month or further than 3 exits from Albany, but does that matter?
Pure juice.
