This one pours a very hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells extremely citrusy and juicy, with a big old pineapple slap to the nose.

There’s a lot of pineapple added to this, or at the very least, it’s a normal amount of pineapple but it’s super accentuated based on how pineapple-y The Butcher might already be. It’s got passionfruit, and mango, too, but it’s mostly a soft, juicy, pineapple bomb, with very little bitterness.

This is creamy, rich, and juicy, with a great drinkability.

I don’t typically like fruited added IPAs, but this is so ridiculously decadent that I can’t help but not smile while drinking it.

Continuing their butcher of their overwhelming crops of hops, Fidens sets their sights on pineapple. Sharing generous amounts of the tropical fruit pulls their Butcher of a beer deeper into the tropical tastes.

Still milky and in the same lemony pastel sheen as the original Butcher, The Pineapple Butcher, again, releases a cottony swath of foam before a host of highly tropical aromas and secondary citrus and winey nuances. As its soft and creamy sweetness coats the tongue, a richer powdered sugar, juicy and nectar maltiness sets an early tone.

As the hops swell on the middle palate, they bring a radiant taste of passionfruit, kiwi and papaya. Nearly teeth-churning in its slightly tart hop display, the citrusy flavors add white grapefruit, tangerine and lime. But the pineapple flavors seem to dominate the balance and lessens the effects of the hops. Throwing in a pep of white grape, honeydew and a hint of pawpaw, the taste soon trends smoothly bitter with green tea, pineapple rind and peppery grasses.

Medium bodied, malty-dry and trending slightly more bitter than sweet, The Pineapple Butcher is a delicious and fruit forward hazy ale.
