nice hop profile on this but a real thick brew, even for a hazy, i found this dense, a touch green and over hopped, and a tough pint to rip through, even though time was of the essence when i had this. surprised to see its so low alcohol, certainly drinks more sturdy than that. its murky on the pour, dull and dense, with a fine inch of white head from the tap and a definite wheat base to it, starchy and fuller. the nose is juicy hops, sliced citrus, mango, and pineapple, not totally original but nice and fresh, and really only a little green once i settle into it. faint peach and cantaloupe here too, a kiss of vanilla even, and this is juicy and ripe to me, perhaps accentuated by one of those new school yeast strains for these big dry hopped ones. its fresh and pungent, but its tidy on the finish, and as grainy as it is, at least its pale and dry. good carbonation pushes through lightening it some, and it warms up to hints of green grape, papaya, and white currant. tasty hops, slightly sloppy beer overall, but it scratched my itch for something hoppy and is the first beer ive had or seen from these guys in ages, god to get reacquainted, even if this is not their most compelling brew to date...
