A soft, hazy, double-dry hopped IPA brewed with flaked oats & wheat and copious amounts of Citra & Cashmere. Immense flavor and aroma, super juicy, dry finish.

Can from the brewery in Brooklyn. Pours a very hazy medium golden orange, finger of fluffy white head that sticks around, nice lacing, smell is pungent orange zest, frozen orange juice, orange blossom, lemon cake, overripe melon, taste is cantaloupe, orange cake, orange peel, orange juice concentrate, lemon flesh, mild orange pith on the finish, feel is medium bodied, creamy, mild carbonic bite, dry finish. A scoop of melone and limone gelato melted in fresh squeezed orange juice. Yum! Also, I originally ordered a different beer than this from the brewery, via shipping , but it had sold out, and I got a nice note in the order letting me know and that they replaced it with this, they also gave their email if I had any issues. Zero complaints from me and I appreciated the note!

This was the first beer from Wild East that I've reviewed on here, as I picked it up a few weeks back at Milk and Hops in New York City. Fairly nondescript can but the liquid on the inside was enjoyable, nicely crafted, and full-bodied as this was a nice example of what an American IPA should be!
The pour to this was good as it was golden, somewhat hazy, and uniform in hue with nothing floating or settling in it. A moderate head topped it off as the lacing left behind was spotty and left a few thin rings near the top of my pint glass. Loads of oats, wheat, semblances of rye, melon, and sour fruit in the nose as the taste was much more juicy and robust. Grassy, earthy, and subtly dank, this was incredibly smooth and easy on the palate, which allowed the flavors to fully emerge as it warmed up. Not terribly bright, this was heavy-handed and light on the carbonation, down to the aftertaste.
Not a lot of booze here, which made this easy to enjoy and even less like a typical IPA than it's flavor profile and taste led me to believe. No canning date on the bottom but this look, felt, and tasted fresh as I would have easily had another after finishing this can off. This was a solid brew that was less hop-forward than I was accustomed to with a pleasing end result. Glad to see another strong brewery in a part of Brooklyn that's already jumping, as I will be on the lookout for more from these guys!

Look: Slightly hazy yellow, some foam and lacing.
Smell: Apricots and marmalade.
Taste: A good amount of hops. Some bitterness, herbal and grassy.
Feel: Light feel, normal carbonation for an IPA.
Overall: A good beer, but on the light side for an IPA.
