Clean, crushable German-style pils, brewed using traditional European methods. Subtly sweet, crackery pilsner malt is balanced with peppery, herby hops; crisp & dry finish.

Side pull tap at The source

Also clean, crisp, snappy, but slightly unfocused when compared to the Ramble. A more rustic malt character with a slightly more aggressive hop character make for a different experience.

Clear, golden color. Big, white head. Grass, malt, and light lemon in the aroma. Crisp, malty with decent hoppy bitterness. Everything you would expect from a classic German pilsner.

16oz. can into a Founders snifter.

Pours a darker goldenrod. Great head, thick, web-like lace. A beauty of a beer. Nose is sparkling foam, pine cone, and grass. Simple, decent. Beer opens biting. I get accents of grass, pine, and bark. A spritzy tartness in the middle. Rather clean. Aggressive. Some resin and wax towards the end. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on the palate and goes down quenching, sparkling, aggressive with a bone dry aftertaste that is bitter.

Nice. I wish this one was a touch creamier with a more grassy aspects. Otherwise, solid.

Murky dark golden body with a large white head, thick sheets of lacing. Grains with a hint of honey, hops, and yeast lead nose. Taste adds robust cracker pilsner malt backbone and lemon zest, otherwise the same. Feels hoppier and heavier, yet crisp and crushable, there is a lingering sweetness on some sips which is odd, but not bad enough to be a problem. The wife liked it. Good debut

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Pours a clear brass-amber topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises strong grass, flowers, light biscuit, even lighter cracker, and a touch of citrus pith wafting on the wind. The taste brings in more of the same, perhaps with a drop or two of honey tossed in for good measure (if you've behaved yourself, anyway). The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a pretty crisp finish. A nice little pils, 'nuff said.

Pours a clear and slightly darker shade of golden. A nice sized foam head shows good retention.

The nose opens with a light touch of sulfur, which quickly fades, and then emits notes of bready and biscuity malts. Aromas of grassy and peppery spices are slightly perceptible.

The taste opens with soft and chewy bready, biscuity and dry cracker malts. A modest malt sweetness is soon contrasted by a strong hops profile. A clean but assertive bitterness is accompanied by grassy, earthy and peppery spices. A smooth and dry finish evokes a touch of caramel sweetness paired with earthy bitterness.

Medium to light bodied. The mouthfeel is more on the smooth side for a pils, yet has enough crispness to make it work. The carbonation is moderate to slightly lively.

This is a fantastic Pilsner that is easy to drink but also with some substance in the flavor. Delicately crafted and amazingly balanced. I would have again.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grassy, herbal and spicy hops are present in the nose along with underlying notes of pilsner malts.
T: The taste is nearly a mirror image to the smell except that the flavors of pilsener malts are a bit stronger but hardly any associated sweetness is apparent because there is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, very clean, and a bit dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that the taste of this pilsner had a very nice balance between the malts and hops.
