A creamy stout brewed with a heavy dose of flaked oats, fermented with an English ale yeast. Bold & complex malty flavors of light roast coffee, toasted hazelnuts and semi-sweet chocolate with an earthy nutty aroma and semi-dry finish.

Dark brown color. Medium-sized, beige head. Roasted malt and dark chocolate in the aroma. Smooth, moderate roasted bitterness in a malty taste. Good.

16oz can. Date stamp on label is '2/21/25'.
Black colored body, with a mahogany colored back lit edge. Tan colored head is at first pillowy and then gets creamy as it reduces to a full cap. Leaves behind some short lacing webs.
Aroma of dark roasted malts with a little char, sweeter oats, coffee, and a little bit of chocolate and nuts.
Taste is similar to the nose with roasted malts and char, coffee, chocolate, and nuts. Sweet oats help to balance against the char. Hint of dark fruit towards the end. Mineral note and drying in the aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel, with a creamy texture. Turns quite dry at the end. Good carbonation.
The brew gets sweeter with repeated sips. This acts as a balance against the char and minerality.

Very impressed by my first Wild East brew. This stout is on the creamy side with coffee look and a nice tan head that hangs around a bit. The nose is roasty and a harbinger of the robust flavor that follows. Chocolate, coffee and nuts come through, but they do in waves through the tasting giving the beer a hearty complexity. And what a nice, long roasty finish. Really solid oat-based stout.

It arrived in a clear pint glass after being drawn from a tap. This is the nitro version. It's just a little less black than black coffee brown. There's a nice light tan head on top and it appears to be sustaining. It brings a pleasant roasted malt aroma that's not diminished by the oatmeal. The taste is well within expectations for the style. The oats temper the bitterness of the roasted factor, but add little to the body. It drinks rather lightly. The standard, for the style, notes of dark chocolate, black coffee and a hint of nuts are there, but subtlety. This is one of those not great, but not bad brews. There's really nothing wrong with it, there's just nothing outstanding, neither

This was extremely dry with a abundant, heavy, almost charred roastiness. Hints of coffee and bakers chocolate with a wonderfully full body. Loved it.

On tap at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells quite roasty, with chocolate, a touch of smoke, and some herbal bitterness.
This is a really solid, just a really well crafted standard lower ABV stout. It’s very roasty, and pleasantly chocolatey, adding a light sweetness to help balance this out. There’s also a touch of herbal hop bitterness, and some nice nuttiness.
This is medium bodied, creamy, but crisp, and very drinkable.
Wild East is a super underrated brewery.
