Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a dark mahogany brown with a one finger light khaki head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of moderate dark toasted malt, brown bread, a touch of cocoa and piney hops. Flavor is dark toasted malt, pumpernickel bread, light cocoa and mild piney hops. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A nice Tmave style dark lager. Expected dark malt with light char, dark bread and cocoa notes. Somewhat mild in flavor density, but the that flavor is fine. I'm liking the availability of this style; I'm not a big drinker of light lagers, but have been very pleased with the Czech style dark lagers, and this is one of them.

A little smoke. Dark malts. A Touch of sour finish that impedes drinkability. Draft at the source.

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Pours a deep midnight hickory topped by a finger of glowing tan foam. The nose comprises mild roast, light cocoa powder, pumpernickel, light pine needles, and a touch of grass. The taste brings in more of the same, the roasty/bready malts balancing beautifully with the spicy/grassy hops. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. A very nice dark lager, one that's incredibly drinkable.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like nutty malt, roast, chocolate, and a sort of woodsy and herbal hop character.
Wild East seems to know what they're doing with little beers like this. This is nicely toasty, herbal, slightly bitter, and very creamy, with some light chocolate and spice.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and extremely drinkable.
It's hard not to like something like this one. I absolutely have to keep trying beers from this brewery.

Amber-hued dark brown with a decent-sized tan head with good retention and poor lacing. Light smoke and strong malt in the nose that give a meaty impression. Similar taste. Full bodied for the style with good fizz. Bacon-like and filling.

On-tap at Tørst in Brooklyn, NY.
Very bready. Dark brown with good clarity. Small yet persistent tan head. Freshly-cracked brown malt aroma. Bready and nutty aroma and flavor with some light notes of milk chocolate as well. Medium-light bodied. A little on the thin side but very tasty, nonetheless. Good stuff! As long as brewers keep making Czech lagers, I'll keep buying 'em.
