On tap at Wild East Brewing Company in Brooklyn, NY.
This one pours a light orange-ish amber color – lighter than a typical barleywine, with a small head, and lacing.
This smells pretty oaky, with honey, earthy spice, caramel, and vanilla. This doesn’t have quite the deep gnarly maltiness of a more modern thicker barleywine, but it’s still very tasty.
This is somewhat light bodied, but not thin, with a slight booziness.
This is definitely an older school, older money take on the style, and I appreciate that.
