On tap at Wild East Brewing in Brooklyn, NY.
This one pours a clear golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like orange and tangerine, with grapefruit pith, crackery and toasty malt, resinous pine, and some stone fruit.
This is a super classic tasting West Coast style pale ale, with a really nice pithy and resinous bitterness. There’s a supportive and unobtrusive malt character here, toasty and crackery, but not sweet. There’s a bit of fruitiness to the hop character – peach, grapefruit, and tangerine.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and stupid drinkable.
You don’t see too many classic pale ales in the Sierra Nevada vein anymore, and I wish I did.
