Dark brown, almost black, with a nice off‑white head. The aroma brings roasted malt, fresh bread, chocolate, and a touch of herbal hops that adds a clean edge. The flavor follows a similar path: malty, roasty, and smooth, with a pleasant roasted bitterness that lingers without becoming harsh.
Simple, balanced, and very satisfying.

On tap at Wild East Brewing in Brooklyn, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells quite roasty, with some dark chocolate, licorice, and herbal hop character.
This is a straightforward and excellent German dark lager. It’s roasty, dry, and slightly bitter with some herbal hop character, but finishes with creamy dark chocolate and just a hint of sweetness.
This is medium bodied, crisp, clean, and quite drinkable.
I could drink this consistently all the time if I had the opportunity to.
