16oz "can glass" pour for presumably somewhere between $7-8 at Flatstick Pub, in downtown Spokane, WA.
Chill-hazed, with a coloration somewhere between copper and light ruby. Takes on a lighter color near orange when held up to direct light. Tight, off-white head. Decent lace
Fruity and malty nose. Just a whiff of citrusy hop aroma way in the back. Definitely a malt forward mild.
Taste is similar to the smell. Tastes like a mild with a standard English Mild malt bill, with the hops (whatever American hop varietals were used) providing little more than a very slight citrusy and herbal flavor in the background and in the aftertaste.
Body closer to medium than light. Finishes soft, like a low impact ale.
Seems like most milds I have consumed have been of the dark variety. Perhaps that's the better bet for flavor. This is fine, certainly easy to drink, but not terribly interesting.
