Pint consumed at the source for $8.
Served in whatever official style their pint glasses are, this was a copper/gold amber color, with a sudsy, bone-white head that left tons of lace on the sides of the glass.
Big, old school west coast style hop aroma. Grapefruit and piney hop scents rush up to meet the workers at the olfactory. There's also a caramel-ish malt aroma, but it's not in the driver's seat.
Taste is much like the nose. Big, sappy hop flavor, with a subordinate bready maltiness.
Resin, oily mouth feel.
Really nice, old school WCIPA, like what was common in a lot of PNW breweries about a quarter of a century ago. It might be a bit uncompromising for a hazy devotee, but for me it's a fun stroll down memory lane.
