Glossy black with a short tan head dying to a bubbly collar.
Smoked maple meets dark char without any unpleasantly painful splinters.
I found this delicious as hell, but, towards the end of a very long evening.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like quite oaky, with barrel char, burnt marshmallow, tobacco, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, maple, and vanilla.
This is blend of barrel aged barleywine and barrel aged stout, but it definitely leans more stout, with some charred roast and lots of dark chocolate. There’s some moderate caramel and earthy toffee like flavors that do not add a ton of sweetness. There’s a hefty amount of oaky spice in this one – I love that, personally. This is blended well and definitely intended for someone who loves huge punchy barrel character.
This is medium bodied, with a nice warmth and heft to it. It’s definitely a slow sipper.
I wish more breweries did blends of barrel aged barleywines and stouts, it always seems to work in my favor.
