Named for our best brewery companion, Walter, who is quite the Chonk, this ESB is a perfect nod toward the origins of the craft brewing revolution and the iconic breweries who forever changed the beer landscape. This Extra Special Bitter is of British origin made with entirely English malts and hops. Amber color, nose full of candied raisins and grassy hops, rich creamy malt body finishing crisp and balanced - perfectly sessionable!

A: Pours a relatively clear medium reddish amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate ruby red + dark golden yellow + chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy beige head that reduces to a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted + bready + pale + caramel malts with light to moderate amounts of caramel + dark fruit (fig + raisin) sweetness. Light aromas of grassy hops.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of toasted + bready + pale + caramel malts with light to moderate amounts of caramel + dark fruit (fig + raisin) sweetness. That is followed by a light flavors of grassy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away relatively quickly leaving a relatively clean finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth with a relatively clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a smooth almost creamy mouthfeel. Enjoyable and well balanced between the sweetness from the malts and the bitterness from the hops.
