Oatmeal stout brewed with a base of Maris Otter and oats (both malted and flaked), layered with a medley of chocolate, roasted and crystal character malts.
This style is traditionally characterized by balance and drinkability, and with our version we wanted all of the ingredients used to meld and blend as best as possible. No frills or decadent adjuncts here, just rich malt and pleasant chocolate flavors, balanced by earthy english hops and subtle yeast character.
This beer is medium-bodied, creamy, and effortlessly quaffable. It's perfect for gulping down next to a roaring fire and has us dreaming of freshly chopped bricks of bittersweet bakers chocolate, medium-well-done whole wheat toast, and a bowl of dark berries, responsibly drizzled in a chocolate and caramel fountain.

Undated can; drank 2/10/23 @ the Yarchives.
Brown/black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small tan head; minimal lace.
Cream, chocolate & faint oat notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Cream & mild chocolate syrup flavors; mild oat dryness on the finish.
Solid oatmeal stout.

Brownish slate black body, proper tan sudsy cap with spotted lacing. Smell is exactly what you want: oatmeal, with hints of brown sugar incorporates dark chocolate, roasted malt, toast, and faint dark fruit. Taste the oatmeal is bright, almost honeyed, chocolate is milder than nose, light toastiness and roasted malt support. Classical yet light mouthfeel, creamy and full without being taxing at all.

Can from Vinyl Beer on the UES NYC. Pours a very dark opaque amber brown, foamy light tan head, decent lacing, smell is oath/husky roast malts, and funky diner coffee, hints of cocoa powder and marshmallow, taste follows the nose with oats, barley husks, roasted dark malts, creamy coffee, hints of horse blanket and barnyard funk, and wet soil, feel is light to medium bodied, so fat carbonation. Nice roast, coffee, and funky earth character, one of the better more complex oatmeal stouts that I’ve had.
