Poured from a can (no date I could find, released 22Jan2021) into a Teku
L: pours a completely opaque darker rich orange (if that makes sense), nothing creamy about it. Thick white head fading after a couple minutes, leaving some chunky lacing as it does/as does each sip
S: brighter almost gummy candy/soda citrus nose, some tropical aroma lurking but mostly getting a orange soda/cream soda note. Getting tangerine, orange, lemon, lime. As it sits more of a berry melange comes out, along with an earthy note but I’m getting mostly fruit
T: light citrus flavors to start, with more tropical/melon coming through toward the finish. There’s a great mix of bitterness, sweeter fruit flavors, and earthiness - more complex than I expected from the nose, and the bitterness is quite nice. Orange and lime run the show, some of the berry character from the nose, cut by that earthy/bitter bit that again I like. Medium finish, sweeter fruit giving way to bitterness
F: medium carbonation, medium+ body, quite drinkable
O: a solid DIPA, great flavor, easy to drink. Want to try more from these folks - this was great, enjoyed it more as it warmed a bit too
