From Beer Drop, no dating on the can.
It pours brown with hues of red, a finger of off white foam, good retention and lacing.
The smell is Belgian spices, fruity, cloves, alcohol, hint of candi sugar.
The taste is cloves, pitted fruit, candi sugar, little bit of leather on the back end, also I get mild smoke. Very warming.
Medium bodied, good level of carbonation, I would drink this again but not in any hurry to do so.

Look: It pours very dark brown with a tan head. Head retention is very good.
Smell: It has malty aromas with caramel being the most prominent. It also features raisins and dried cherries with figs.
Taste: The caramel flavors are more intense in the taste than in the aromas. It actually has light chocolate with raisons and dried cherries. There are also roast touches well into the background.
Feel: It has a full body with the finish being slightly on the sweet side.
Overall: There are some complex flavors in this beer that creates a good tasing experience.

Pours a finger of light brown head into my snifter. Retention is average and the head fades within a few minutes. Lacing is poor. Body is basically jet black, with some brown hues in the light. Looks meh.
Nose has an overall tart complexion, prunes, dates, maybe some raspberries. Perhaps a dash of funk, not getting much Saccharomyces yeast character. Chocolate malt is hiding not so quietly underneath all that. Smells a little tart for me, but it's super complex.
Flavor is just as massive and diverse. Has clear notes of tobacco and leather; definitely get some tart dried fruits - dates, prunes, maybe raspberries; surely some of this is influenced by foreign cultures. Chocolate firmly comes in. Again, not my preferred style, but this is an absolute masterclass of a beer.
Carbonation has a bite to it, but finishes pretty soft. Body is relatively light. Bitterness is low. Some perceived sweetness at times, but generally well attenuated, especially considering the gravity. A little alcohol in the finish, but hides it pretty well. Overall a solid mouthfeel.
Drinkability is decent, all things considered.
Overall not too tart, barely noticeable after the beer opens up, and the wild flavors work well within the style.

Pours a dark amber color. Nice looking overall, although the head dissipates rapidly and yields no lacing.
Sweet aromas evoke caramel, honey and alcohol spices. Notes of toasted and biscuity malts, slightly nutty, raisins, dates, figs, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Sweet and boozy, too much so, with notes of biscuity malts, dark fruit and spices. A touch of nutty and roasty malts add some contrast. Flavors of raisins, dates, figs, grapes, bubblegum, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I don’t know if Im picking up any of the foeder barrel qualities, as the the booze overwhelms. The finish is a bit warm and not as dry as I’d like it to be.
Full bodied and viscous, the boozy sweetness makes it a bit of a chore to drink. Smooth mouthfeel with a moderate carbonation.
I don’t quite know what this is style wise, as it feels more like a barley wine. It’s a bit on the boozy side and lacks that light on its feet quality I like in a Belgian Strong.
