Happy to be stuck with you Summer Terra. If ever I wanted a new drug, this beer hits the spot. If this is it, than some of my lies are true and I know what I like. The tastes in this double IPA make me hip to be square, as I taste ripe melon, with a beautiful graham cracker crust, smothered with Key-lime notes with fresh summer berries on the side. And if you do believe in love, the real heart and soul of it, then this is a beer for you this summer. And because I'm working for a living, if you come to Olive's at 225 Liberty Street in NYC's Brookfield Place and tell me the Rock and Roll artist I'm thinking about, I'll buy you a beer!
Offer ends on August 15th.
Anyone lucky enough to enjoy this beer, enjoy your summer and travel back in time to a perfect world.
Cheers

Wow! If only all the DIPAs were this quality! Two of my fav hops Mosaic and Nelson in combo with Wakatu.
Golden yellow color with a 4F head in a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Very floral, some sweetness,. Lots of fruit- especially tropical.
Mild finish and not very hoppy.
Another excellent beer from Drowned Lands.

Very attractive pour. Tons of foamy white head with excellent lacing and retention. Aroma is citrus with plenty of grapefruit notes. The hops combine well on the palate to deliver enough complexity to keep things interesting, without muddling things so much as to lose any character. Grapefruit / melon are the predominant notes I pick up, but there's additional complexity. Nice full mouthfeel. Well done DIPA.

First review. Freshly canned. Poured into a Willi Becher pint glass. It pours a dense, turbid, muddy pastel orange with a large, creamy, bright white cap and thick, clinging lacing. It's an elegant appearance. The smell offers tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, ripe cantaloupe, white wine grape, and strong yeast esters. The taste is a study in contrasts: it opens with hints of both earthy sweetness and sourness which play off each other. There is a base of dry pilsner malt and malted white wheat, while the use of oats contributes to the sweetness and gives it a soft, pillowy feel. The blend of Mosaic, Nelson and Wakatu hops is inspired as they provide notes of both overripe melon, orange juice, and dry white wine - again providing a contrast. The mouth feel is fabulous - thick and chewy with moderate carbonation, and 8.2% ABV gives it lots of substance. Overall, Summer Terra is big and tasty, and thoroughly enjoyable on a hot early summer day. It's complex but not gimmicky at all. It's an excellent recipe perfectly executed.
