IPA brewed with pilsner malt, malted spelt, raw wheat, and oats, hopped in the whirlpool and DH exclusively with Citra.
We love how our all-citra Triple IPA came out so we decided to dial back the ABV and showcase just what Citra can really do when it's allowed to shine. This beer has an absolutely gorgeous pale yellow haze and is as bright and juicy as they come.
We're tasting orange zest, drippy summer peach, juicy melon, and a handful of orange and pink starbursts.

No canning date
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (15% clarity) medium to pale orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 6. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, mango, pineapple. (4.25)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange, pineapple, mango, smooth peach skins and citrus flower. Hints of pink starburst. (4.00)
Feel: Medium-body, strong carbonation. Smooth wheat mouthfeel. (4.25)
Overall: All Citra and DDH. Perfect recipe for a summer IPA. This is orange, pineapple, mango, reminiscent of Toppling Goliath King Sue. Also some dry peach skins and pink starburst flavors emerge. Finish is smooth and dry from the wheat malt body. This is drinking incredibly smooth and flavorful and shows how simple and perfect just the age-old Citra hop can be at making a fantastic IPA. Doesn't have to have a multitude of hops, rather sometimes a single hop with the right brew can work extremely well. (Rating: 4.10)

A: Poured from the can into a tulip glass. Body is hazy dark yellow with a 1-finger fluffy, foamy white head that retains pretty well.
S: Tropical fruit (mango, melon and pineapple) and ripe apricot. Not really strong, but pleasant.
T: Sweeter tropical fruit and stone fruit up front: melon, papaya, ripe peaches, a hint of ripe oranges, then modest bitterness: pineapple, lime zest.
M: Really nice, finely carbonated. Call it medium in heft, but drinks "lighter." Not quite Tree House-pillowy, but it's in the ballpark.
O: Very good.

A: The beer is very hazy pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that has very good retention properties and also left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lychee are present in the nose along with notes of lime.
T: The taste follows the smell but has additional notes of honeydew melon.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and seems like a hybrid between an IPA and a NEIPA.

From a 16oz can. From the DL Instagram post on 11/24/21: “ Brewed with two row, white wheat, and oats. Fermented with our house IPA yeast and triple dry hopped with all citra. Notes of pineapple concentrate, ripe mangos, fresh squeezed OJ. This beer has a beautiful pale yellow haze and is as bright and juicy as they come.” Awesome IPA!
