16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Had 3/20/25.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a half inch quickly dissipating foamy head and some slick foamy lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, some oak, light cocoa and coffee, a little bourbon. Smells fairly smoky. Flavors of roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate, oak, some bourbon, light coffee, a little raisin. Smooth, a very good fuller body, well carbonated.
Great aroma, and a very good flavor. The vanilla is the star, and while the barrels are fairly light, they have a decent impact on the flavor. Overall, it’s a very satisfying beer, very enjoyable.
