A new pilsner we’ve schemed up featuring Nelson Sauvin. Best way to describe this beer is light, bright and genuinely refreshing to sip from a pint glass. House pilsner malt blend that gets a double dry hop of one our absolute favorite New Zealand hop varieties, Nelson Sauvin. We’re getting a taste for the perfect brunch peach Bellini or a ripe and crispy slice of a Bosc Pear a bit of brie and a cold sip of premium NZ Sauv Blanc.

On tap at The Drowned Lands in Warwick, NY.
This one pours a fairly clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like peach, grape, biscuity malt, tea, and grassy hops.
This is transformed by the Nelson double dry hopping, but not completely overwhelmed by it. There’s a soft grapey and peach hop character overlaid on top of a bed of straw, grassiness, and biscuits, with just a touch of grassy tea bitterness.
This is light bodied, crisp, clean, and just stupid drinkable.
I’ve had some Nelson hopped lagers that just ended up tasting like an IPA – this one bucked that estimate and tasted like a great pilsner with a Nelson sweater on.

Innovative Pilsner.
One of my fav hops: Nelson.
Unlike most pilsners, this has a fruity aroma and taste, excellent MF.
None of the usual heavy malt and light bitterness in the finish with the usual Pilsner. Pleasant carbonation.
I have really enjoyed Drowned Lands beers.Batting a 1000.

Lightly golden body, slightly cloudy; very light carbonation; decent head, white and sudsy with small speckles of foam dotting the glass. Very delicate aroma; lightly floral with subtle notes of apple and pear. Mild, subtle flavors; delicate grain background with low-key fruity esters. Medium-light body; soft and delicate residual sugar feel; semi-sweet character.
A nice pilsner featuring Nelson Sauvin hops, it manifests a general lightness and easy approachability.
