16oz can. 8.0% no date on the can that I could find.
Taste is toasted mild brown/dark bread, brown sugar, caramel, hint of dark fruit and chocolate. Sweet but not overly sweet, a hint of bitter on the finish.
Mouth feel is smooth but slightly thin. ABV is well hidden
A solid beer. I will give it a 4.08/5 overall

L-Dark brown color...nice off white head..
S-Sourdough bread impression
T-Off sourish flavor....a little chocolate...lacks melanoidins...sour apples...
F-Medium bodied...
O-Unfortunately this is not a good beer.. It's got a sour off taste and lacks quality doppelbock characteristics. This is my second can and both were the same..unfortunately I got four more to drink. Not sure if this is how they all taste but you can't put this out to market tasting like this if you want to be taken seriously....don't package shit like this..

A: Pours a dark brown color with some reddish highlights around the edges. At first a dense beige head forms, but that fizzles out to a ring quickly. Not much lace left behind either.
S: Baked bread and hard candy/caramelized sugars, dark fruit aromas. Not particularly complex, but enjoyable.
T: That baked brown bread again up front. Which is nice. Candy sugary sweetness, and dark fruits of cherries. The sweetness becomes a little cloying for me.
M/O: A medium body and moderate carbonation. This could be a bit fuller and creamier for my preference for the style. Not hard to drink, but I'm also looking for something else rather quickly.
This is almost the opposite of their Ploughshare Altbeir for me. As that one drank bigger than the ABV suggests, this is lighter than you would expect for the style and ABV. Mix that with the cloying sweetness, and its not upper tier for me. Some earthy bitterness would do wonders to balance. As is, not bad at all, but an average attempt at the style for an American brewery.
