Pours crystal clear gold in colour with a nice wispy head atop. I can see the bubbles rising up in my glass. Biscuits and grains on the nose. The taste adds a little bitterness. Plain Jane overall, not bad. A nice daily drinker but nothing overly notable.

473 mL can from the LCBO; coded E070 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear, pale yellow colour, graced at first with two fingers of soapy, foamy white head. It falls apart within a matter of minutes, leaving behind a lovely coat of doily-patterned lacing as it recedes down to a thin cap and collar - very attractive. The aroma consists mostly of gritty, grainy pilsener malts, accented with hints of bready, honeyed sweetness, grassy hay and just a touch of lemon rind.
A proper pilsener, clean and crisp - I'm getting grainy pale malts and lots of breadiness at first, with a mild suggestion of doughy, honeyed sweetness. The hops impart a subtle note of grassy hay and earthy bitterness towards the finish, followed by an off-dry aftertaste that leaves the palate ripe for another sip. Light-medium in body, with moderate carbonation levels that contribute to its smooth, slightly crisp texture. Tossing this can back was a cinch, and I absolutely would have appreciated another.

Another tallboy from the LCBO. Paniza Premium Pilsner has been rebranded as "Jupiter Pilsner". I still think that this is a quality pils, and one of the better Ontario-made examples of this style that I've had in recent memory. In fact, I'd place this one on par with some of the better German export equivalents we have access to in this region - think stuff like Bitburger, König Pils, etc. It's well worth picking up if you spot it in your neck of the woods at least if you're a lager enthusiast; I'll definitely be back for more at some point.
Final Grade: 3.85, a B+

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $3.00 CDN.
Appearance - An aggressive pour yielded a clear yellowy gold beer, with a tremendous three plus fingers of white head head that fizzles down to one in a couple of minutes. Lots of spotty lacing left behind. A few fine bubbles continually rise to the surface.
Smell - Plenty of grain, with bready aromas all over, traces of grass and lemon interspersed giving this a well-hopped aroma. Quite aromatic for the style.
Taste - Bready all over, easy to drink, very flavorful and just the right balance of sweet and bitter, malty and hoppy.
Mouthfeel - Easy to drink, but lacking a bit in carbonation, soft body and medium dry finish. Lacking just a touch of crispness, but so easy to drink.
Overall - Maybe I'm just thirsty, but quite honestly one of the absolute best pilsners I've had in a long long while. Really worth giving a shot, and stacks up well against any local and German competition.
