Tasted from the tap in a snifter at the brewery in Waco, TX.
This was an amazing beer. Despite the alcohol level, there was some head and lacing and a mild carbonation. The aroma was stupendous and deep, with port and rum sweetness and strong alcohol esters. Flavors blend malt and slightly oxidized notes expected from an aged barleywine with the port and rum barrel notes and very high alcohol. The result is incredibly complex and delicious.
