The subtle sweetness of Kölsch style ale paired with Blood Orange SKI, our original recipe infused with the fruit flavors that echo notes of tart cherry, raspberry, and tangy grapefruit.

Had Blood Orange Shandy poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped "BORN ON: 11/17/2021," into tulip pint.
Pours light lemon-gold with 1/2-finger near-white head, which soon dissipates to a ring, and then nothing, leaving no lace. Aroma of sweet citrus soda off pour, which moderates and continues, eventually revealing a little hop spice. Begins sweet fruit soda, with a little mild malt evident, and then a hint of noble hop spice, and just a bit of hop crispness in the primarily sweet soda finish.
Creating shandies from their own fruit sodas is a nice concept, and Brewski has achieved a good balance between soda and beer with this one, but a more assertive beer (Czech pilsner?) might have been an even better choice than the mild Kölsch, adding a little more hop bite.
