This beer was brewed in 2019 and aged in ex bourbon barrels for 3 years. We then unearthed it from its tomb and added life back to it by conditioning it on raspberries, cranberries and cherries.

The description sure sounds unnecessarily complicated. The top of my can is bulged - I don’t know if I dropped this can, but were it a can of baked beans, I wouldn’t be opening it. Pours a muddy mahogany and tastes much to style at the front, but the flavour quickly exits stage right, leaving a decent, lingering sour on my palate. It’s ok and though I love my Flanders reds, a beer which is missing its middle isn’t for me. Frankly, I’m surprised they didn’t blend in a younger beer to complete it. To be fair, I’ve found some bottling of Rodenbach to suffer from the same issue.

House of Funk Brewing 'Rubies Before Swine' @ 7.0% , served from a 473 ml can
A-pour is a dark copper from the can to a dark dirty amber in the glass with a small size tan head , dissipating quickly leaving a minimal lace ring along the goblet's edge
S-ripe cherries
T-very tart & sour , raspberries & cranberries dominate the swallow
MF-mild carbonation , big medium body
Ov-the 3 year old Bourbon barrel aging adds a wow factor to this Flanders Red Ale
