This beer pours a brilliant honey color and is topped with a fleeting, lively, beige head that leaves nary a trace of its exit.

Deep amber pour with plenty of thick foam. Smells funky and citrusy, slightly sweet. Flavor is very complex, starting off with a funky citrus ale taste with a massive amount of brett character, then fading into sweetness, before hitting a lot of bourbon barrel notes and finishing dry. There's a ton going on here and the honey character gets lost a bit but it's still a sweet citrus ale at its core. Tons of great sweetness balanced out by a little bitterness and a drying funk.

Overall a complex, fun beer that is a little stranger than most local wild ales. The honey doesn't add an incredible amount but as a barrel aged citrus wild ale this beer stands strong.
