The long-awaited return of our 2023 GABF gold medal-winning Wet Hop Strata has finally arrived! This year’s vintage features a unique blend of 4-year-old citrus forward Basique and 1-year-old Saison, enhanced by the addition of Strata wet hops grown by @crosbyhops.
As with all the bottles in our Wet Hop series, these hops are picked fresh and shipped to us overnight without being dried. We then add these fresh hops in to beer that’s already undergone at least one summer of maturation, allowing the flavor profile to evolve from fragrant and floral hop notes to juicy and fruity nuances. Strata, in particular, bursts with a passion fruit aroma, complementing the tropical and citrusy character of the base beer blend.

On tap.
Pours a lovely clear gold with a little white foam. Very sour and vegetal on the nose, a little citrus as well. Flavor is crazy. There's citrus and a lot of sourness up front, alongside a sort of cucumber vegetable note as well as bright, spicy hops. Finishes quite bitter. Some sweetness on the back end and orange peel. Feel is good, quite bright, and medium body. Very complex and I wouldn't say approachable but well and truly unique.
Big fan of this one, especially fresh as it is.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
