Dated 04/15/25 INTERLOCKING TONES, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a pale, yellowish gold with lingering foam. Completely clear. Aroma is dank and earthy with some lime undertones, but overall heavy on the vegetal and funk. Flavor follows the nose with plenty of weedy flavors, alongside a healthy dose of lime zest and passionfruit. Malt presence very low, but it's quite bitter and not at all sweet. It's not as astringent as I would've liked and the passionfruit character is a little weird for what should be a WCIPA. Feel is decent but I would've liked more carbonation, also for the style. Body is low, it's drinkable, but it feels more like a weird hoppy lager than a true IPA.
Rare miss for Barrique but I know this isn't their wheelhouse. I have plenty more to review from them, and even if they didn't nail this one I'm sure their other new beers will be great.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
