16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, creamy beige head. Nutty, roasty aroma, malty. Taste is roast, chocolate, nutty chocolate, root beer. Very smooth and not very bitter.

Canned 06/17/25 SCHWARZ SCHORTZ, into a pils glass.
Pours a rich dark brown, almost jet black, with great tan foam and lots of creamy bubbles. Aroma is dark chocolate and rich burnt malt, very dark. Flavor is similar, deep, caramelized malt, but very little bitterness. It's extremely cocoa-heavy with almost a savory note, as well as a good nuttiness. Finish is very slightly bitter and extremely clean. Feel is good, lower carbonation but with an extremely low body with how deep the flavors are. Extremely refreshing and easy to drink.
This was described as a cleaner, more refreshing version of their regular Schwarzbier, and it lives up to that description. The base beer is incredibly delicious, and this riff on it is great for a hot day.
