Canned 09/30/25 SUP BUDDY, into a Barrique pils glass.
Pours an effervescent gold with fluffy white foam, plenty of bubbles. Aroma is honey, some apple, a little biscuit malt, and tea. Flavor is bright apples and honey with some rich sourdough and cracker malt flavors. There's a great hit of floral hops on the finish and a refreshing clean bitterness as well. The balance between light malts and bitter hops is very well done, and I enjoy how both ideas interact, with the malts feeling rather rich but not too heavy, and the malts providing an earthy and bitter balance. There's not much sweetness to be had here but the bitterness isn't too much either. Feel is great, exceptionally light with plenty of bubbles which make this an impossibly refreshing drink.
Overall, the standard for Barrique. Any of their Czech lagers is going to be rich and complex but balanced and supremely drinkable, and this one is no exception. I love the slightly heavier character compared to their Bə'rēk 8° and there's a lot of complexity in a low ABV package.
