2025 vintage, into a Living Waters snifter.
Pours a deep rich mahogany with no foam. Aroma is deep cocoa, vanilla, wheated bourbon, and a little red fruits. Flavor is the same, like I said in the thread. Every flavor of smooth delicious chocolate, some red fruits and figs, fantastic vanilla and molasses, and every sort of richness in order in vibrant, soft frame. Finish is sweet but still balanced, with a hit of oak and coffee on the back end. Feel is great, as befitting the almost 3 year age. Extremely smooth and almost flat, high body but zero alcohol and a lot of warming in the chest. Extremely syrupy but that only helps the huge flavors.
Overall the best strong ale I've ever had. This is ancient and such a beautiful beer. Nothing else to say besides it is fantastic. Easily the best Barrique bottle I've ever had and one of the best beers.
