From a 500 ml. bottle. Sampled Oct 21, 2020.
It is a handsome looking copper amber tone with a lingering cream colored foamy head. Looks inviting.
Toasted toffee and caramel malts are the first aroma sensations I pick up with a slight nuttiness and a wisp of floral hops.
Medium, smooth mouthfeel.
The taste is at first sweet with those toffee and caramel malts and then the notable but unobtrusive bitterness rounds out the finish. This is one of my favorite traditional styles and it is done correctly. Worth trying if you like ESB's.
