Shortly after the American Revolution, the British invaded Philadelphia. In an effort to keep the Red Coats from melting down American assets, the founding fathers ordered the Liberty Bell to be sent away and hidden. The Liberty bell was hidden right here in Allentown in the basement of the Zion United Church on what is now Hamilton St. This IPA pays homage to that legendary tale and has loads of American Simcoe hops with just a dash of Liberty hops hidden within (see what we did there?). See if you can't find the spicy and floral notes of hidden Liberty in this big and bold Imperial IPA.

A - Pours a very hazy medium orange gold color with very rocky head initially that subsides to a uniform dense white lacing ring. The foam is very sticky on the sides of the glass.
S - Aroma is pine, citrus, passion fruit, and juicy floral.
T - Strong fruit presence with citrus and passion fruit up front and center, also exhibits light spiciness and floral character ending with light pine and citrus bitterness. Fruity citrus lingers with earthy spiciness.
M - Thick body with a tad bit of thinness around the edges. Very dry on top of the tongue and wet on the sides of the mouth with a slight chalky texture.
O - This is a solid initial D-IPA from McCall and looking forward to trying what else they might have up their sleeve. Worth a try.
