12 oz. pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a teku glass. It pours a very dark cola color with a thin, light khaki-colored head and modest lacing. It smells of roasted malt, peat, cola, and a whiff of tobacco and char. The taste opens malty with dark chocolate, anise, freshly-brewed coffee, cola, and slightly nutty char. There is a subtle bitterness at the finish. Its mouth feel is pleasantly creamy for the style with an appropriate level of carbonation. The 8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, I enjoyed this rendition of Baltic Porter a lot although it's not at the level of the leaders of the style.
