Poured into narrow pint glass: color is black, head is tan with fine bubbles, presents one finger thick, head dissipates to ring on glass sides.
Aroma is roast, coffee, chocolate, toast, light caramel.
Taste is roast, chocolate, bitter coffee, toast, caramel, earthy hops; big flavor for ‘session’ stout as it’s advertised.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.

Poured from 16oz can into pint glass in November 2023, that I purchased at their pub in Trexlertown, PA. There is no date on the bottom of the can. I drank this about 1 week after I purchased it.
Appearance: Very dark black with 2-finger head. The head was dark tan with fine bubbles, and disappeared after a minute. It left only a little lacing on the glass, and no head remained after a minute.
Smell: Roasted malts, coffee, and a little chocolate aromas. Not much hop style citrus or pine aromas.
Taste: There is pronounced taste of coffee, and smoked malts. Also, some chocolate and vanilla. There is a mild alcohol presence that matches 5.0% on the label.
Mouth-feel: Medium, and with an extremely smooth and creamy body.
This is a good Stout. It has a variety of flavors that adds a nice complexity to the beer. Not a big beer, but there is more flavor than I expected from a 5% ABV beer. I would buy this again.

On tap at the source.
A - Pitch black pour with moderate tan, dense lacing.
S - Light chocolate roast with light charcoal and a little bit of cream on the nose.
T - Delicate chocolate roast and light chocolate char. Nice lingering chocolate char and delicate chocolate char bitterness after the sip.
M - Medium body that's a little thin around the edges.
O - Flavorful and quaffable. For only 5%, this packs a nice amount of chocolate char character.
