Purchased at Chas Cole Cellarbrations in Geelong in May 2024. Drunk in December of that year.
L: It's a slightly murky, coppery orange, with a thin smattering of head across the top and around the edges of the glass. Lacing left on the way down. Big bubbles race up the glass.
S: The nose is classic British pub - some toasty malt, brandied plums, brown sugar and a touch of caramel.
T: The taste is sweet tea leaves, plums, tobacco, brown sugar, and leather, with a floral and earthy hop note hiding underneath everything. There's a long, sweet, toffee, tobacco and tea leaf finish. The alcohol is not present, which could sneak up on you at 5.4%. Very tasty!
M: The mouthfeel is full, smooth, and has minimal carbonation, making the beer very quaffable.
O: This is a lovely beer that immediately brings a British pub to mind, with endless pints of bitter flowing into the night - not that I'd be standing straight after two or three of this one!
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
