They're sat on Tottenham Court Road; cans in hand. It's all lager.
It's cold, it's refreshing, perhaps underappreciated by the rowdy crowd. The street lights flicker as they amble down the road, no destination in mind.
Sipping... Lager, lager, lager, lager
Drinking... Lager, lager, lager, lager
Shouting... Lager, lager, lager, lager
Shouting... LAGER, LAGER, LAGER

Purchased at Chas Cole Cellarbrations in Geelong in May 2024. Drunk in December of that year.
L: Bright, golden yellow with a large, pillowy, bright-white head. Absolute bucketloads of tiny bubbles rocket up the glass. Lacing is left on the way down. This is a very pretty beer.
S: Standard lager done well: biscuity malts and some earthy and spicy hop notes.
T: The flavour profile has a slight sour orchard fruit note and quite a sweet, apple and yeasty finish. The hop notes I detected in the nose are absent in the mouth. The reality is that this tastes like a cheap European lager. Knowing Deeds, I doubt the beer was meant to taste this way, so perhaps it's not held up as the brewer hoped.
M: The mouthfeel is soft and full, with minimal carbonic kick on the swallow, meaning the beer would be quite quaffable if the taste profile had worked.
O: This is a miss for me, a rare one from Deeds to fall into that category. It's the second last beer I have in my fridge from this now-defunct brewery and the 20th beer from them that I've reviewed. It was such a loss to the Aussie industry when these guys went down...
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
