On-draught @ the brewery. $14 AUD per 570ml pint.
4.5% ABV. "Grapefruit Golden Ale."
Evocative fresh pink grapefruit, nailing the taste of the fruit without going overbitter as grapefruit is want to. Tastes like actual grapefruit, not just tinned grapefruit puree dumped in the boil.
Fresh golden/pilsner malts lend it a crisp clean backbone. Perfectly attentuated. Balance is excellent.
Smooth, slightly dry but still incredibly refreshing, coating, aptly medium-bodied.
Beautifully executed, letting the grapefruit drive the beer's bitterness instead of relying on hops like so many grapefruit beers out there.
Stupidly drinkable. One of the better beers I've tried in Melbourne.
