Pours black with an extremely thick tan head. Aroma is tobacco, cedar and roasted malts. Taste is salty, oyster type notes with some roasted malts and wood notes. Complex but not aggressive. Feel is decent, not too thick but there's some body there. Overall a tasty stout that is right where it should be.

2nd review. Local brewer.
a) Tan head over black body, scads of lace and last.
s) oysters, salt, malt, wood.
t) Old world seaward aromas and flavors, very winter beachy, boardwalk and cedar.
f) Light for stout, easy drinker, flavorful.
o) Nicely made. Will recommend. Not too sweet.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head that left a narrow collar around the edge and lots of specks of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of oyster shells and dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has hints of saltiness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and somewhat dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a bit lighter in body compared to other beers in the style.
Serving type: can
