A fun-size version of a Vault City classic, packed to the brim with all the chocolatey, honeycomb goodness of the original, but now with a slightly more sessionable ABV.
This decadent stout blends bold flavours of rich dark chocolate and cinder toffee to capture the irresistible taste of our favourite crunchy snack.

Copenhagen 13/4 2026. 44 cl can from BeerShoppen web-shop. Dark can with beer cube hexagons and crunchy chocolate.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Bubbly. Disappears after a few seconds leaving a sombre dark fluid behind. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet and sugary odor of pastries and malt. Caramel, toffee and honey. Milk chocolate bars and lactose. Brown sugar and biscuits.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, viscous, soft, fat, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet milk chocolate. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Quite the chocolate bar.

Dessert Time !
Could be chocolate pudding without the thickener. But Vault city does a good job by keeping it just this side of too sweet.
Looks are a big foamy head, but it settles down to a nice brown bod with ruby tinges. Smells are overwhelmingly chocolate. Tastes have a heavy dose of honey. Better than medium-mouthed, but I was expecting something close to viscous. Anyhow, this was too big a dessert for me. Think I'll put the can back in the frig and save it for my chocolate fix tomorrow.
As for Vault City, their website doesn't tell me much. They seem to be six years old and specialise in sours, brewing in the unlikely climate of Scotland that rarely needs refreshment. Vault City's second line are these stouts, more in line with the weather. Any how, I wish them well with good overall Hugs.
