On tap at the Selingsgrove location earlier this afternoon.
Light amber body, decent white head, scattered lacing. Aroma is hoppy and a mild spice note. On tasting, good flavor, strong malt with enough hop to balance. Finish is a mild bitterness.
Overall, nice drinking pale, reminds me of the English style, although the color is darker.

Poured into a wide mouth grip shaped goblet: color is gold, slight chill haze, head presents one finger thick, head dissipates to thin top with limited lacing on glass sides.
Smell is really light, struggled to get anything out this - light malt and herbal hops.
Taste is also light but more than aroma with barley malt, light caramel, some herbal hops.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, low/moderate bitterness.
Overall a bit thin in flavor and aroma but nothing off, very easy drinkability.

Our Bellefonte house is just 0.3 miles (by way the crow flies) from this brewery. The actual drive is about 2.25 miles.
So had a flight of brews at the brewery and took a couple 6 packs home. Mean Duck was one of them.
LOOK: Pours some gold with strong amber hues with a handsome all white head that displays some excellent retention.
AROMA: Pine resin and citrus aroma and floral hops.
TASTE: Mildly tart, dank, more pine resin, grapefruit, and orange peel.
Dry

Was expecting a bit more as recommended as one of this breweries best. Great color, little nose, taste was average, feel was a bit thin an acidic. I'll go back to the Axemann's Hazy Daisy which is a solid NEIPA

DATE: August 30, 2020... OCCASION: so much work done this weekend, and sadly we watch the late Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther in his memory... GLASSWARE: Otto's pint... this begins with a bubbling, sudsy, two-fingered white head that settles to an uneven wreath... its orange amber body doesn't reveal much life.... its aroma has a thick, resinous introduction, with dank citrus, with lemon and orange leading the way, and a thick underpinning of bread malts that suggest this is more well-rounded than its website suggests... its body is strong, weighty for its 5.7% ABV, with an oily introduction, a solid sip, and a finish that tingles with a confident lingering... this exhibits a ton of citrus and resin, grapefruit, and some spiciness too... too big for a pale, too easy for an IPA, the Mean Duck is actually quite pleasant and enjoyable...
