On tap at the Selingsgrove tavern earlier this evening.
Slightly hazy reddish amber body. Off white head, scattered lacing. Malty aroma. On tasting, slightly sweet, strongly malty, with a light apple cider note. Finish is apple.
Overall, at first I was thinking end of the barrel due to the apple note. As the drink went on, it became quite enjoyable and refreshing. Weird

Poured into a narrow imperial pint glass: color is gold, clear, light effervescence, off white head with fine bubbles and frothy texture presents one finger thick, head lingers with solid thin top, some spotty lacing.
Smell is grape nuts and sweeter pils malt, light earthy hops.
Taste is pils, grape nuts, maybe some honey sweetness, limited hop flavor.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low/moderate bitterness.
Overall a solid maibock - a little sweeter malt flavor but backed by clean earthy bitterness.

LOOK: Pours a clear bright, light colored amber with a cream colored loose head that has decent retention and has an abundance of side glass lace.
AROMA: Bread and biscuit malts. Cold metal. Slight orange citrus.
TASTE: Bread is joined with some vanilla and caramel. Some sweetness with a dry finish.
OVERALL: A decent bock and an worthy addition to the Axemann itinerary of beers.
