Pours black with amber hues around the edges. Three fingers of fluffy tan foam sit a top, with okay retention. Aroma is bread, toast, caramel, and light fig, with nutty malts at close. Simplistic. Flavor profile is bread and pumpernickel, with toast behind. Light caramel and earthy malts sweep in at the finish. Mouth feel is creamy with a medium-thin consistency. Overall, heavy bread, and otherwise a simplistic black lager. Fun on the slow pour, side-pour tap.
