Grab your favorite flannel and pull up a chair on the patio because our newest beer is ready for those crisp fall evenings. Prairie Fire Smoked Helles is a light, malty, German-style lager with a toasty kick of smoke from Beechwood Smoked Malt. Crisp and easy drinking with just enough fire to keep the conversation going

Pours light yellow with a clear transparency. Head is two fingers of white foam. Aroma is smoke right off the bat, and it's heavy. Smoke fades a little as it warms. Rest of the aroma is crackers and wafers with minor bready malts. Grassy hops add some dynamic to the malt and smoke show. Dry. Flavor profile is dry malts - crackers, wafers, and bread - in descending order. Smoke is present, but less forward than the nose. Grassy and mild herbal hops add some texture. Mouth feel is a sly crispness and smooth finish. It's medium-thin in thickness. Refreshing texture. Overall, a pleasant blend of smoke and helles. Crushable dry smoke bomb.
